Veteran scribe Prabir Sarkar passes away

Kolkata, Feb 16 (UNI) Veteran journalist Prabir Kumar Sarkar died at his residence here today following protracted illness.

He was 70.

Mr Sarkar was the Chief Editor of a Bengali vernacular weekly, 'Coalfield Times', and reared the organisation for about 30 years as its mainforce.

He is survived by his wife and two sons.
