RBI notification on FII investment in Canara Bank

Mumbai, Feb 16: The Reserve Bank of India has allowed Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) to acquire equity shares of Canara Bank under Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS), through secondary market in India. The RBI in a release here, stated that Canara Bank has gone below the trigger limit of 20 per cent of its paid up capital.
