President Pratibha Patil meets Lalu Prasad in Patna

Patna, Feb 15: President Pratibha Devi Singh Patil on Friday met Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and his wife Rabri Devi at their residence here. Accompanied by Governor R S Gavai, the President on her arrival here after a day-long visit to Nalanda and Bodhgaya went to Mr Prasad's residence as per her official engagement in the evening.

During her brief stay there the Railway minister presented her the model of a locomotive as a memento, while his wife and the former Chief minister Rabri Devi presented her a beautiful Bhagalpuri silk sari. Mrs Patil also met several MLAs, MLCs and other RJD leaders during her visit. From there she went to the Raj Bhavan for the night halt.

On the second day of her visit to the state tomorrow the President would first go to Vaishli on Saturday morning before returning here once again to take part in a number of programmes.
