GP fund official in vigilance net in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 16: Jammu and Kashmir Vigilance Organisation (VO) today presented a challan in a local court against an official of the G P Fund department who was caught red handed accepting bribe.

Giving details about the case, he said, one Muthir Fazili lodged a complaint with VO, alleging that one Nisar Ahmad, auditor of GP Fund cell, zone police headquarter Kashmir, was demanding bribe for providing GP fund schedule to him.

He said similarly a trap was laid and the accused was arrested red handed demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 500 in February last year.

He said after completing the investigation and accord of sanction for prosecution by the government the challan of the case was presented in the Special Court.
