DYFI takes out march on Rly Ministry's 'indifference'

Kozhikode (Kerala), Feb 16: The pro-CPI (M) Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) today took out march to Railway stations in the State to protest the Railway Ministry's 'indifference to its demands.' DYFI National president P Sreeramakrishanan inaugurated the State-wide march at Muthalakkulam here.

The demands, among other things, included a separate Railway zone for the State and doubling of lines in the Malabar Region, sources said.

Addressing a gathering at the Kozhikode Railway Station, the DYFI leaders said they would intensify the agitation if the Ministry failed to concede its demands.

The youth organisation took out similar marches to Koilandi and Vatakra Railway Stations.
