AP Govt to urge Centre to accept CACP recommendations
Hyderabad, Feb 16 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy will call on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar in a bid to convince them to accept the recommendations of the Commission for Agriculture Costs and Prices on paddy prices.
Talking to reporters before the Chief Minister left for New Delhi, State Agriculture Minister N Raghuveera Reddy hailed the CACP's decision to fix the minimum support price for paddy at Rs 1000 a quintal for common variety and at Rs 1,050 a quintal for 'A' grade variety for 2008-09 Khariff season.
