About 25 officials suspended in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 16: The Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended about 25 officials of different departments in Baramulla and Ganderbal districts, official sources said.

They said during a surprise check of different departments, about 19 official were found absent from duty. Deputy Commissioner Baramulla later placed all the 19 employees under suspension. Out of these, 17 officials are of Tehsildars's Office Pattan.

During a surprise visit of Industrial Training Institute Ganderbal, the Additional Deputy Commissioner, found several employees of the institute including its Superintendent absent from duty.

The absentees were later placed under suspension and concerned authorities were directed for initiating immediate disciplinary action against them.
