Mah: Rs 1 lakh compensation to victims

Nashik, Feb 14: The district collectorate today announced compensation of Rs one lakh each to the kin of the two dead, who were killed in the sporadic violence that rocked the district during last two to three days.

Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) employee Ambadas Dharrao and Jindal Polyfilm employee Vinod Singh were killed in the violence yesterday. ''Compensation of Rs one lakh each will be given to the kin of Ambadas Dharrao and Vinod Singh by the government,'' said Collector S Chokkalingam while talking to reporters here.

He also informed that the administration had undertaken several measures to establish peace and assured people about their safety.
