BSP to merge as alternative to Cong and BJP in Rajasthan: Mishra
Jaipur, Feb 15 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Medical and Health Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party leader Anand Mishra claimed that his party would emerge as an alternative to both the Congress and BJP in Rajasthan.
Participating at a meet the Press programme organised here by the Pink City Press Club today he claimed the people of the state are fed up with both the Congress and BJP misrule. The success of the BSPs social engineering formula in UP would be replicated in Rajasthan as well in the upcoming general elections,''he added.
Terming the BSP not only a political party but also a social movement, Mr Mishra said BSP stands for social harmony and progress and the party's endeovour is to foster brotherhood and amity among the various caste groups in the state.
He said the party would herald its entry into the state with a large public meeting addressed by party supremo Mayawati and general secretary Satish Mishra to be held here on sunday at the Vidyadhar Nagar stadium in preparation for the upcoming Assembly elections in the state.
The BSP would put up candidates for all the 200 seats, Mr Mishra added.
