Andaman JNV Teacher bags coveted award
Port Blair, Feb 15 (UNI) Y Rama Prasad, a Post Graduate Teacher of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Andaman and Nicobar Islands has been selected one among four teachers in the country for the prestigious Intel award of the year.
The award, carrying a cash prize of Rs 10,000, will be given at a function to be organised in New Delhi on Monday.
This is the second time a teacher of Andaman JNV has been selected for the award. It was earlier bagged by Mr Rama Prasad among two lakh Navodaya teachers working in different schools across the country.
Every year the multi-national chip manufacturer, offers prizes for Navodaya Vidyalaya teachers, selected for their innovative efforts in 'best integration of technology in classroom teaching'.
It is awarded to four best teachers of the Vidyalaya spread throughout the country.
