Six awarded lifer for gunning down a man

Shivpuri (MP), Feb 15: A local court has sentenced six people, including five brothers, life imprisonment and fined Rs 1,000 each on the charge of gunning down a man over land dispute.

According to the prosecution, Badrakha village residents Rakesh, Balkishan, Hajrat, Roshan and Ashok -- all brothers -- with their uncle Rajkumar Lodhi killed Siyasharan on June 2005.

Justice B C Malaiya delivered the verdict yesterday.
