2-day 'Baudh Mahasammelan' at Sarnath from tomorrow
Varanasi, Feb 15 (UNI) A two-day 'Baudh Mahasammelan' starts at the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies, Sarnath, here tomorrow.
A galaxy of major Hindu and Buddhist figures including Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh (RSS) chief K C Sudarshan, Tibetan expelled Prime Minister Prof Samdogn Rinpoche and former HRD minister Dr Murli Manohar Joshi will attend the mahasammelan.
RSS executive member Indresh Kumar said the meet is being organised to spread the message of non-violence and promote the philosphy of 'live and let live.' A large number of Buddhist followers from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Myanmar and Thailand would take part in the event.
The meet will officially be inaugurated by Prof Rinpoche tomorrow morning.
