4 rallyists killed, 8 injured in accidents at Garhwa

Ranchi, Feb 14 (UNI) Four people were killed and eight injured when the jeep, they were travelling in, hit a stationary truck in Garhwa district today.

The passengers of the jeep were coming to Ranchi to attend the RJD-sponsored 'Chetna' rally.

RJD president Lalu Prasad expressed sorrow over the deaths and announced Rs one lakh as compensation to the next of the kin of the deceased.

The injured were admitted to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences here.
