Sporadic incidents of violence in Vidarbha
Nagpur, Feb 13 (UNI) Sporadic incidents of stone-throwing were reported from several parts of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra today after the arrest of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray.
MNS activists indulged in stone pelting and burnt tyres on the roads to block traffic at some places in Nagpur city, police said.
Buses of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) were damaged in the stone pelting, police said.
There were also reports of stone pelting from Hinganghat in Wardha district, Chandrapur and Akola.
The police have arrested 12 MNS activists in Buldhana district, including four each in Buldhana city, Khamgaon and Chikhli, reports reaching here said.
