Deadline extended for pharma cos to submit questionnaires
New Delhi, Feb 13 (UNI) On the request of pharma manufacturing units and companies, the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has extended the deadline for submission of data required by it from January 31 to February 28.
Pharma manufacturing units and companies have now been asked to furnish the required data by February-end to enable the NPPA to revise and fix the norms at the earliest, the Ministry of Chemicals and Petrochemicals said in a statement.
Under the provisions of DPCO, 1995, the NPPA has to fix norms for Conversion Cost (CC), Packing Charges (PC), Process Loss (PL) and Packing Material (PM) for 2008.
These norms are worked out based on actual cost data/information received from various manufacturers and formulators. Two detailed questionnaires in printed form have already been sent to pharma units and industry associations.
