Cold wave abaes further though cold winds maintain chill
New Delhi, Feb 13 (UNI) The cold wave sweeping Delhi for the last over a week today abated further even as cold winds maintained a chill in the air.
Continuing its rising trend since yesterday, the minimum temperature rose further to 6.2 degrees celsius, from 5.5 degrees yesterday. The maximum also rose, from 20.2 degrees yesterday, to 21.8 Degree C.
The rise in mercury notwithstanding, cold Northwesterly winds maintained a chill in the air.
The chill in the air is likely to persist till the weekend with weatherman forecasting continuance of cold wave conditions over Delhi during the next 48 hours.
The Met office has forecast a mainly clear sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours. They have also forecast a minimum temperature of three degrees tomorrow.
