Armed criminals attack prisoner in court

Munger, Feb 13: A group of armed criminals seriously injured a prisoner in the court premises here today.

Superintendent of Police Shaleen told the sources that Sashi Yadav was shot at from close range when he was coming out of a court after being produced there. He was admitted to the local Sadar Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical, the SP said.

Meanwhile, two policemen of the escort party posted at the court premises were placed under suspension with immediate effect on charges of dereliction of duty. Departmental proceedings had been started against them, the SP added.
