Protest against Mr Lalu Prasad Yadav's alleged remarks on Kannada
Mysore, Feb 12 (UNI) Activists of the Vatal Kannada Paksha led by Former Karnataka Legislative Assembly member Vatal Nagaraj staged a protest in front of the City Railway Station here today protesting against anti-Kannada remarks reportedly made by Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav at a function held in Bangalore yesterday.
Addressing the agitators, Mr Vatal set a deadline of one week for the Minister to tender an apology to Kannadigas and took severe exception to the reported derogatory comments made by him (Mr Lalu) against the Kannadigas. "If he fails to tender an apology within the Seven days, his Paksha would launch protest on February 26 when Railway Budget was scheduled to be presented." The activists burnt effigy of Mr Lalu Prasad Yadav before disbursing.
