Paltrow considering adopting a baby from New York

London, Feb 12 : Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed that she is considering adopting a baby with husband Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

Speaking at a Malawi benefit concert, hosted by pop diva Madonna, the 35-year-old actress said that she wants to adopt a child closer to her home in New York rather than from some other country.

"We might get one from Brooklyn. No baby is more helpless than another baby. And I'm a New York girl," the Mirror quoted Paltrow, as saying.

"People who have a lot often feel they have a lot to give," she added.

Paltrow also said that since her 30-year-old husband was keen on adopting a child and she is also open to the idea.

"My husband wants to adopt. So I don't know. I'm sort of open," she said.
