Norah Jones prefers spending her money on hard-up pals

Washington, Feb 12 : American singer and songwriter Norah Jones revealed that she would rather spend her money on her hard-up pals than parties.

Norah, who is of Anglo-American and Bengali descent, revealed that she avoids the luxury that her wealthy lifestyle affords her, preferring instead to help her pals out.

The 'Come Away With Me' star, still remembers what it was like to be a struggling performer, thus her generosity towards her friends.

Jones admits to making her artist friends' lives easier by treating them to gourmet dinners and luxury holidays.

"I don't really have a major extravagance. I do get excited when I take my friends for a nice dinner - because most of them are still struggling artists, and don't have much money," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

"I also took them on holiday to Costa Rica and that was great. It's nice to be able to do things like that," she added.
