Bhopal court summons Abu Salem

Bhopal, Feb 12 (UNI) A local court today summoned underworld don Abu Salem on February 25 in a fake passports case.

Chief Judicial Magistrate Ajay Shrivastav issued a production warrant against Salem. The prosecution submitted a supplementary chargesheet yesterday.

''February 25 was also set as the date for arguments over the chargesheet,'' said Public Prosecutor K S Kansana.

A first information report was registered at Koh-i-Fiza Police Station in 2001 against Salem, his wife Samira Jumani, Bollywood starlet Monica Bedi and some locals. The trio had passports made using the assumed names Danish Baig, Rubina Biag and Fauzia Usman respectively. Monica has been acquitted.
