4 cops suspended in police station arms loot case

Chennai, Feb 11 (UNI) A Sub-Inspector and three constables have been placed on suspension following the February 9 incident in which suspected naxals decamped with six rifles and a wireless set from Adhiyamankottai Police Station in Dharmapuri District of Tamil Nadu.

Police said Sub-Inspector Krishnan and Constables Subramani, Raja and Rajamanikam who were on duty when the shocking incident took place, were given suspension orders today, Meanwhile, more personnel had been deployed at all police stations in the district and a special polcie team formed to nab the culprits.

However, Additional Director General of Police (Law&Order) K Vijaya Kumar today visited the police station and ordered a departmental inquiry into the incident.
