Seven killed in road accident in TN

Madurai, Feb 10: Seven people of a marriage party, including the bride, were killed and seven others seriously injured when the car in which they were travelling collided with a lorry at Andipatti in Theni district last evening.

Police said the marriage party was coming to Jaihindapuram in Madurai for the wedding of G Hemalatha (20) and Shanmuganathan, a police constable attached to the Tamil Nadu Special Police Battalion based in New Delhi, when the accident occurred.

The bodies were sent to the Government Medical College Hospital at Andipatti for post-mortem, police added.
