Indian villager killed by Bangladeshi nationals

Shillong, Feb 10 (UNI) An Indian villager was killed by a group of armed Bangladeshi nationals at the bordering Lumjyrmi village in Meghalaya, police said here today.

A group of about 50 Bangladeshi miscreants entered the village on February eight, looted the house of one Jobel Malngiang and later stabbed Bosting Nongbri to death, police said.

Meanwhile, the villagers urged the state government to direct the BSF authorities to keep a strict vigil along the Indo-Bangla border to prevent Bangladeshi nationals from intruding into the Indian territory.
