Financial chief of HM killed in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 10 (UNI) Security forces killed the financial chief of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) in a night-long operation in south Kashmir, a police spokesman said today.

He said security forces launched a search operation at Noor Poora Tral, about 30 km from here, in south Kashmir district of Pulwama last evening.

During the operation, militants fired on security forces from a house.

Reinforcement was rushed to the area and the cordon around the house continued throughout the night.

With the first light security forces launched a major offensive and killed the hold-up militant who has been identified as the financial chief of HM.
