Fatwa against share market investments

Bareilly, Feb 10: After issuing 'fatwa' on several prominent personalities, the Sunni sect clerics here today issued a fresh set of fatwa against making investments in the share market.

Darul Ifta Mufti Sayyad Kafeer Ahmad and Ubadur Rehman have declared investment in the share market as an ''illegal act'' and asked the members of Muslim community to refrain from such malpractices.

They said the money gained from such investments was 'haram' llegal.

The clerics pronounced the decision while answering the querries of people, who wanted to know the sacred Quran's stand on the share market.
