US national arrested for attacking two men with pen knife

Chennai, Feb 9: A US national was arrested by the police for attacking two people with a pen knife following a verbal duel at the tourist resort in Mamallapuram, about 55 km from here, last evening.

Reports received at the police headquarters here said Francis O'Neill, hailing from California, attacked Anandan from Kalpakkam and his friend with a pen knife after they mocked at him. Both the injured were admitted to Chengalpattu Government Hospital.

Acting on a complaint, police arrested Francis and remanded him to juidicial custody.
