RSS condemns Thackeray's statement
Sultanpur, Feb 9 (UNI) Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) today condemned Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray's tirade against over North Indians in Maharashtra.
While addressing a press conference here, RSS media incharge Ram Madhav said,'' that they were against any kind of discrimination and dividing people on regional basis.'' He said terrorism was the biggest challenge facing the country and urged the government to initiate steps against the viennce.
Political parties should stand united and support the government to uproot terrorism from the country, instead of playing politics over it, he added.
Talking about the Women Reservation Bill, Mr Madhav said it was for the political parties to decide whether to give 33 per cent seats to women or not. However, they should be encouraged to actively participate in electoral politics.'' On madrasas, the RSS leader said the Sangh was not against any educational institution, but the syllabus they teach should be decided by the government.
