Man creates panic before committing suicide
Puducherry, Feb 9 (UNI) A 35-year-old man, hailing from Kovilpatti in Tamil Nadu, created panic among the public here before committing suicide.
Police said, Raja, who was facing family problems, reached here last night, walked before the railway station, poured kerosene on his body and set himself on fire.
As the flames went up, he ran helter-skelter, creating panic among the passers-by and nearby shopkeepers before falling on the ground, police added.
He was admitted to the Government General Hospital here with 100 per cent burns and died around midnight.
Before his demise, he gave his statement to the police and apportioned the blame on his family for taking the extreme step, police added.
