Deora expresses condolence on passing away of Baba Amte

New Delhi, Feb 9 (UNI) Petroleum Minister Murli Deora today expressed his condolences on the sudden demise of Baba Amte.

In his message, Mr Deora described Baba Amte as ''a true Gandhian entirely dedicated to the uplift of the downtrodden and the disadvantaged section of our society.'' ''This has been a big personal loss to me as I was a beneficiary of Baba Amte's guidance and support as and when needed,'' Mr Deora said adding that his work for improving the lot of those afflicted with leprosy speaks volume about his sheer determination and conviction, which would always inspire people to attempt overcoming insurmountable difficulties.

''I would ever cherish my association and frequent meetings with Baba Amte to support his crusade for well being of humanity,'' he said.
