At no cost counter-insurgency to stop: Koda
Ranchi, Feb 9 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda today asserted that the security forces would not soften its stand and rather intensify counter-insurgency operations to flush out the Naxalites from the state.
Referring to the 17-hour-long encounter with the banned Maoist Communist Centre ultras in Giridih district, that stopped at 0300 hrs today only because of rains, Mr Koda lauded the security personnel and condoled the death of two CRPF jawans killed in the incident.
He said in the recent past, the security forces during random raids forced the Naxals to go on backfoot.
Talking to newspersons here, the Chief Minister made it clear that there was no question of softening the stand.
