Arrested MPTC members remanded
Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, Feb 9 (UNI) The 36 Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC) members, including nine women members, arrested on charges of attacking police, have been remanded and lodged in sub jail here today.
The MPTC members were arrested by the police, when they allegedly attacked two women constables and a sub-inspector in front of the Collector's residence here last evening.
The members, who tried to enter the residence to submit a memorandum, were stopped by the police.
The arrested included TDP Floor Leader in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council Y Babu Rajendra Prasad.
