Court to decide BSP MP's fate on Feb 19

Jaunpur, Feb 8 (UNI) Charges against the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP and main accused in a gram pradhan murder case Umakant Yadav could not be framed today.

Yadav, presently lodged in Fatehgarh Central Jail, was produced before district judge Shivanand Mishra amid tight security.

However, charges could not be framed due to absence of another accused Chandra Shekhar Yadav.

Chandra Shekhar remained absent in the court even after being discharged from the hospital.

The court posted the case for the next hearing on February 19.

On August 24, Shyam Kanhiya Yadav, Pradhan of Japtapur village in Saray Khwaja area, was allegedly shot dead by Umakant and his four aides.
