Coffee Board recommends inclusion of Coffee in loan waiver list

Madikeri, Feb 8 (UNI) Indian Coffee Board has recommended to the Union Government to consider Coffee also in Agriculture commodity and include it in the list of loan waiver.

A resolution to this effect was passed at the Board meeting held in Bangalore recently.

In the resolution it was also appealed that various schemes like subsidy for replantation of Coffee, interest subsidy on development loan, crop loan may be included in the Eleventh Plan, according to Board Member and Rajya Sabha member Prema Cariappa.

She said that she has also written a separate letter requesting the Government to consider Coffee under above mentioned various schemes.
