BMC to celebrate Democratic day on March 3 at HQ

Mumbai, Feb 8 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will celebrate 'Democratic Day' on March 3 at its headquarters, wherein civic chief Jairaj Phatak will hear the grievances of the public.

''The public can meet me with their grievances and I will try to solve them as soon as possible,'' said Mr Phatak here today.

The state government had passed a resolution on December 12 last year, wherein all the Municipal corporations in the state were given instructions to address the problems of the general public under the chairmanship of the commissioner.

Moreover, the resolution also stated that the corporation heads will address public issues on the first Monday of every month and in case of a public holiday on that day, the issues will be heard on the next working day.
