Twenty-eight people including nineteen bar girls arrested

Mumbai, Feb 5: Twenty-eight people including 19 bar girls were arrested by police on charges of obscenity and obstructing police officials from discharging their duty at Rambhavan Bar in Andheri, in the wee hours today.

Zone-X Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Prasanna Bidri during his night rounds raided Rambhavan bar at 0045 hrs, when nineteen bar girls were arrested for obscenity and nine bar staffers were arrested for obstructing police on duty.

Arrested people were identified as Kumar Potaswami Gounda (34), Vasu Nagendra Gauda (21), Ravi Sandeep Shetty (32), Ramesh Janardan Poojari (24), Anand Sukhalal Singh (31), Shekhar Kariya Shetty (32), Devendra Nevnane (22), Raju Manoranjandas (21) and Somu Gauda (29).

Accused would produced in Andheri Court later part of the day, police added.
