Team of officials from HP visits city to learn about TSP

Tiruchirapalli, Feb 5 (UNI) A 24 member team from Himachal Pradesh Revenue and Rural Development Departments visited Tiruchirapalli and Nagapattinam districts today, as part of their two-day field visit, to learn about the successful implementation of Total Sanitation Projects (TSP) in Tamil Nadu.

The team held discussions with the district Collector Asish Vachani, officials of the Rural Development Department, elected representatives of the local bodies and with few NGOs, who were jointly implementing the TSP here.

Later, the team also inspected the sanitation park located in the Collector's office complex.

Ms Sudha Devi, Deputy Secretary (Collector), one of the team members, told reporters that this was an exposure visit for them.

Based on the informations collected from the State, they would successfully implement TSP at Himachal Pradesh, she added.
