SCHWING Stetter joins Chennai's large Taxpayer Unit
Chennai, Feb 5 (UNI) SCHWING Stetter India Pvt Ltd, India's leading player in the Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) Equipment Industry, was identified as one of the large taxpayers in the city.
SCHWING Stetter, along with 24 other companies that jointly contribute more than Rs 8000 crore to the exchequer, have joined the Large Taxpayer Unit, a company release here today said.
SCHWING Stetter India Managing Director Anand Sudaresan said "we have been present in India since the late nineties and have done our best to contribute our part to the growth of the country's economy. Paying our taxes diligently has always been our priority and it is encouraging for us to be given a social status by the Government to ensure ease of operation".
The turnover of the company for 2007 fiscal was Rs 800 crore while the company employs 1100 people and has three facilities spread over an area of 2.2 million square ft, with nine branches, the release added.
