Pyramid Saimira registers Q3 turnover of Rs 231 crore
Chennai, Feb 5 (UNI) Pyramid Saimira Theatre Limited, the holding company of Pyramid Saimira Group, registered an impressive turnover of Rs 231 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2007, as against a turnover of Rs 46 crore during the corresponding period last year.
The total revenue for the period from April to December 2007 stood at Rs 502 crore, according to a company release here.
PAT for the third quarter was Rs 29.86 crore as against Rs 5.15 crore during the corresponding quarter last year.
The company added 168 new screens in this quarter, taking the total number of screens in India alone to 655. This does not include the figures of group companies and subsidiaries.
During this quarter, the company recorded 516.93 lakh footfalls and an average capacity utilisation of 39.15 per cent.
Cumulatively during the nine month period, Pyramid Saimira sold 118 million tickets and now managed 4.30 lakh sets per show with 5.6 million sqft under operational management, the release added.
