Hyundai plans a cheaper compact car than Santro

New Delhi, Feb 5, 2008 : Hyundai Motors is planning to come up with a compact car, which would be priced lower than the 'Santro", and the vehicle is expected to roll out within three years.

Currently the cheapest version of the Santro is available at a price of Rs 2.7 lakh and with an eye on a low-priced car; Hyundai may possibly look at a price point close to Rs 2 lakh.
