Bus set on fire for killing youth in Kerala

Kozhikode, Feb 5: An irate mob set on fire a private bus after it hit a motorcycle killing a youth and injuring the pillion rider at Vettilapparapalli in the district today.

Police said the private bus from Kozhikode was proceeding to Kannur when it hit the motorcycle killing Hareesh Kumar, a native of Kuttikattur here, on the spot.

His companion, who sustained serious injuries, was admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.

Enraged over the accident, a mob that gathered at the spot set the bus on fire disrupting traffic on the National Highway for sometime, police added.
