Building collapse in Ahmedabad kills 8

Kalupur, Gujarat, Feb 3, 2008 : At least four people were killed and 15 injured as a four-storey hotel building collapsed in Kalupur area in India"s western Ahmedabad during the early hours on Sunday, February 3rd.

Around 50 people were reported to be trapped inside the building out of which 32 have been rescued. According to fire brigade officials, many people are still trapped inside the building and rescue operations are on in full swing.
