One smuggler arrested, timber seized in Kashmir
Srinagar Feb 4 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested a smuggler and recovered huge quantity of illicit timber in the frontier district of Kupwara.
Official sources said police established a naka at Kupwara following a tip off that some smugglers were trying to transport illicit timber out of the town.
They said after a long wait, police naka party finally intercepted the vehicle and seized illicit timber. The driver of the vehicle was arrested, they added.
