One held for delivering materials to naxals

Raipur, Feb 4: One person, who used to deliver materials to naxals, has been arrested from Kumhari in Durg district of Chhattisgarh, police said today.
Surendra Kumar, who worked in a private plant in Kumhari, used to deliver various materials to naxals.

Surendra had no previous police records but revealed during interrogation that he had conveyed naxal CD and literature to MLA rest house here two years back. Surendra was arrested on the basis of interrogation of women naxals arrested recently in the state capital.

A fuse wire bundle, solding wire, 12 recharge batteries, wire, plug and some other electronic items were seized. The items are capable of triggering an explosion from a distance. Surendra would be presented before court today. Police would try to take him on remand.
