Mayor booked for attempt to murder

Agra, Feb 4 (UNI) BJP leader and Mayor Anjula Mahor has been booked for attempt to murder after violence and ruckus at Nagar Nigam meeting on Saturday.

The BSP had lodged an FIR against the mayor late last night.

Similarly, the BJP also registered a complaint against six BSP leaders, including corporator Bahadur Singh, police said.

On Saturday, members of the BSP and the BJP had a heated argument in Nagar Nigam meeting, which later turned violent.

The opposition parties are now at loggerheads and plotting against each other.

For the first time in the Agra Nagar Nigam's history, a mayor had been booked under such a heinous crime.
