CM announces ex-gratia for Gonda boat tragedy victims
Lucknow, Feb 4 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today announced ex-gratia of Rs one lakh each to the dependents of the deceased, who died in boat tragedy in Gonda district yesterday.
Police is yet to get clues of eight people feared drowned in the boat tragedy.
So far, only a woman's corpse had been recovered.
As many as 9 people were feared drowned, when the ill-fated boat carrying 13 people and en route from Guptarghat to Nawaabganj area in Gonda, sinked mid-stream in river Saryu.
