Punjab in coldwave grip:night temperature dips further in Adampur
Jalandhar, Feb 2 (UNI) The coldwave continued unabated in Punjab with minimum temperatures falling at several parts of the state.
The night temperature in Adampur dropped further and was recorded at minus 2.0 degrees Celsius, turning it into the coldest place in the state.
The night temperature in the holy city of Amritsar remained more or less the same as yesterday and was recorded at 1.8 degrees. The IAF base at Halwara was cold at 1.8 degrees.
The temperatures in the Malwa belt also plummeted with Bathinda recording 2.4 degrees. The border town of Pathankot was also cold at 3.0 degrees.
The met office at Adampur has forecast a partially cloudy sky today and tomorrow, with low to moderate rainfall at isolated places in the border state.
The night temperature in Chandigarh also dropped by one degree and was recorded at 3.0 degrees. The night temperature in Ambala also fell and was recorded at 0.8 degrees.
