Applications sought from BPL, SC families for plots

Chandigarh, Feb 2 (UNI) Haryana Government has invited applications upto March 31, 2008 from eligible beneficiaries to give plots of 100 square yards under the allotment of plots to Scheduled Castes persons and people living below the poverty line under the scheme.

In a communication address to all Deputy Commissioners by the Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Development and Panchayat said that all eligible beneficiareis would have to submit their applications in the prescribed proforma to panchayat through Block, Development and Panchayat Officers.

Such plots would be allotted on available Shamlat land. In those areas where such land is not available, the plot would be alloted either by obtaining land or through transfer or acquisition of land.

Deputy Commissioners have been asked to identify land for allotment of such plots by March 15. They have also been instructed to ensure that such land should be suitable for such purposes and also be in close proximity to the inhabitated area.
