SC tells relatives of Godhra riot victims to approach trial court

The
Supreme
Court
today
told
relatives
of
the
victims
of
the
2002
Gujarat
communal
riots
to
approach
the
trial
court
for
getting
the
bodies
of
eight
victims
who
have
been
identified
through
DNA
test.
The
dead
bodies
of
eight
victims
were
sent
for
DNA
test
after
having
been
exhumed
from
the
burial
ground
in
Gujarat.
The petitions challenging Gujarat High Court's order dismissing the petitions seeking CBI inquiry into the alleged killings are already pending in the apex court. A bench comprising Justices B N Agarwal and G S Singhvi gave the ruling after hearing counsel for the petitioner and told them to have faith in state judiciary.
