Haryana to transfer 66 KV Sub Stations to UHBVN, DHBVN

Chandigarh, Feb 1 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to transfer all 66 KV Sub Stations of Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (HVPN) to the two power distribution companies namely Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN).

While giving this information here today Power Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala said the state government had taken this decision to ensure efficient power supply to the consumers and effective implementation of power regulatory measures for equal distribution of power.

Mr Surjewala said that staff posted at these stations would also be transferred to these companies.

He said that the state government had taken a number of steps to improve the availability of the power and a number of projects were in the pipeline which would generate additional 5000 MW of power in the state by 2010.
